The Law of Hijras

Hijras are the traditional transgender community of India. After experiencing sacrificial emasculation, they have the mystical power to bless or curse the people.
Their social structure and hierarchical system are unique and highly codified. There are more than a million living in clans in all major cities of India.
Through the portraits of a clan leader and a young teenager who wants to become one of them, this film immerses us in the heart of this special community that dictates and governs its own laws.
